Sorry for the lack of updates - the site is down because the backend server was sent to reboot but it has not completed its shutdown. This is usually because a service is hanging, which is an ordinary problem. The complication is that it did successfully shut down SSH immediately, so I cannot remote in to fix it.

I submitted a ticket for IPMI access but I submitted it to the wrong department. I just re-submitted and am waiting.

This is the last bout of maintenance on the server I need and then I don't have to poke it anymore. The operating system is Debian 11, which is EOL in May 2026, so updating it was necessary.

The upgrade from Debian 11 to Debian 12 with an attempt to remove unused Proxmox software has resulted in a boot failure. So now I get to fuck around with this for the next 10 fucking hours.

Everything's backed up and nothing's even on the boot drive except the actual OS so it's just going to be agonized fucking around.
