I am aware that about half of requests to the main datacenter are failing and rendering the grey screen. This does not impact ISPs connecting through the Netherlands, or Tor.
9:07pm I have identified the cause of the outage and am investigating the specifics. It's a novel form of DDoS attack.
9:48pm The attack is being managed with some reconfiguration. I am monitoring the health of the webserver. We should be back, but there may be interruptions.

Networking outage has knocked out the backend. Looking into it.
12:51am - Identified the fault and am investigating 3rd party outage.
1:11am - Hotfix applied. Site's up.
1:19am - I fucking hate computers
1:21am - Okay back up for real this time. - 04 May 2023 (2 messages)

There was an outage with the North American PoP which has been resolved. An update to KiwiFlare didn't go well. I'm monitoring it still.
-
There is another ongoing attack degrading performance in NA.
7:56pm - A rate limiter applied to the impacted instance is working, but it's causing sites to load in about a full minute. I believe this is a connection-based attack and I'm looking into how I can more effectively throttle it. If this is the same attacker as before, he has a lot of IPs which makes it hard to adequately filter them out.
8:33pm - This attack causes the error Timeout during SSL handshake in logging. I've confirmed these log items are not the attack itself, as my own connection attempts cause them. If you've an idea why a DoS attack can cause these timeouts, let me know. - 05 May 2023 (3 messages)

Coach Red Pill has been detained a second time by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) for written insults against the "Ukrainian defenders" and "glorifying Russian war crimes".
For clarification, he had been placed under house arrest at his home in Kharkiv early into the war and after a year he appears to be in full custody now.

T1 connectivity will be down until further notice. Use Tor.
-
Actually, Tor will not work until I figure something out, so this is a total outage. I was working on getting something set up to avoid this exact situation again but such is life.
I promise a more informative reveal soon. I have a lot to say that I am sitting on my hands with. - 06 May 2023 (1 messages)
-
I'm tired and feel a more complete explanation is owed.
#DropKiwiFarms is effectively dead, but of the hundreds of slacktivists who have come and gone in boredom, there's one persistent person who has made it his personal mission to obliterate his history of rape and professional misconduct from the Kiwi Farms. He believes that his psychotic threats and abusive behavior will eventually allow him to leave behind his past and pursue a fruitful, happy, and productive life - if only the Kiwi Farms were gone.
This persistent individual has crossed many lines many times, but all affected parties currently wish to sit on their hands with a 'wait and see' approach while this persons continues on in an incredibly abusive and threatening manner towards innocent third parties every day. It is with incredibly reluctance that I do not name names. I personally know there is no wisdom in holding back.
So, for the sake of boosting confidence and making things clear,
- The individuals you are trying to pry into submission will not submit.
- I will not allow good people to deal with you without my assistance,
- When they realize you are an unreasonable person they will stop trying to be nice,
- There are a million visitors to my website every month and they will all know you soon.
As long as I am alive I will not permit some fucking rapist freak to decide what I cannot and cannot say, and what the thousands of people who use my website can and cannot say. These small reprieves from your laundry being available online will not last and you should accept that and move on with what remains of you short and mangled life.
I also promise that if something were to happen, and by some inconceivable force the Kiwi Farms could not continue, that you personally will never live down what you have done and you will never see a day where you are not known as a rapist.
The people you are threatening are not disappearing silently. There is a fortress being built one brick at a time with your help. The entire industry is learning who you are by your actions alone, and they know what you are: a predator.
Fuck off. - 07 May 2023 (2 messages)
-
There's a plan to get the site back online but it won't be tonight. Sorry.
I really thought we had gotten over this period of random outages but there is a genuine desperation to keep us down. -
I can't get much done on the weekend, but it's time to start thinking about what can be done with Internet infrastructure before there's nothing that can be done.

We will be up on Tor tomorrow. Sorry for the delay. A series of very specific networking problems has made it impossible for me to bring the server up remotely without help. We could have been up in 5 minutes if I had been given any notice before the outage, but such is life.
Download Tor from the Tor Project here:
In this time, I have been reaching out to previously reliable companies for help and have received some support.
My first idea to immunize my Internet from these freaks is to expand our Anycast. If you are, or know of, a reliable service provider with dedis and bring-your-own-IP BGP, and you really want to put your service and Datacenter through trial-by-fire, get in touch: <jcmoon@pm.me>.
I am especially interested in American providers with a healthy upstream mix instead of a single T1 uplink. An insane troon is literally paying people to contact ISPs and Datacenters to fuck with them, so you should expect immediate retaliation, but there's strength in numbers.

The Tor Browser by the Tor Project works out of the box.
<https://www.torproject.org/download/>
If you Tor on Brave, you must enable Unsafe Scripts.
On iOS, you should use Brave Tor and enable Unsafe Scripts.
On Android, there is an app called the Tor Browser. Use that.
"Unsafe Script" errors are because Tor uses the http:// protocol. This does not mean Tor traffic is insecure or unencrypted. It just doesn't encrypt with the https:// protocol. Brave doesn't understand this and deems the scripts unsafe because it expects https://.
I will be securing a presence on Clearnet as soon as I can. -
I have managed to establish https over Tor.

Brave's Tor works now. Note you must open a Tor tab, not a Private tab.

The hardware for my server upgrade has come in. The server will need to be turned off for this. Weird timing but whatever.
Edit: Confirming this is why the site is down. Give it a sec. -
There was an issue with the upgrade.
-
Remote hands reported that after adding RAM and a PCI-E adapter for additional NVMes, the device would not show any video, but does light up and fans spin. My plan of action is to go to bed.
Servers recheck their RAM after the cards are changed, and in this instance I've doubled the RAM from 128GB to 256GB. ChatGPT (+ some guys I know) say this process can take hours, which I wasn't really expecting. It could fix itself overnight, who knows.
If I wake up and shit is still fucked then I will have to revaluate my options. If I can get someone to pull it out, test bench it, and see what's actually happening, then that's great. if I can't, or it's fucked, I will pull the harddrives and place them in another server I have and rebuild Kiwi Farms off that.
One must imagine Sisyphus happy. -
The Mainboard is bricked lmao time to overnight a new one
- 10 May 2023 (1 messages)
-
I am shipping in a replacement server that is a direct upgrade. The hard drives will be swapped over. ETA Friday or Monday, but I have asked for overnight shipping.
The guy who built the original is interested in diagnosing the mainboard, so I am going to ship that back to him. We'll then get that server on the same level as the new server coming in.
When they're both in, I can then finally, finally, finally have a fully redundant server for the Kiwi Farms in the same datacenter and we will never have to deal with this shit again and I can just focus on dealing with Dong-Gone and the war on infrastructure-level censorship.
This is pretty expensive, but doable thanks to cryptocurrency donations I've received it is possible.

I am very particular about running on our own bare metal because one day, when we've overcome these freaks, we can dig in our heels and get other communities over these censorship obstacles as well. - 12 May 2023 (2 messages)

I have received a tracking number that says the new server should arrive by 10:30am Pacific time. I'm not 100% confident in this but we'll see.

The device has arrived and been assembled. I am working now.
✔️ Networking established.
✔️ Kiwi Farms file system repaired!
✔️ Database partition moved to larger space.
✔️ Done. - 13 May 2023 (2 messages)

Connection issues for today.
- They've spun up a DoS attack, looking into it.
- New server is big enough to eat it after some changes.
Now,
- There's a sudden network connectivity issue that I'm looking into. The slowness is not due to Tor or the attack anymore. There's something else wrong.
- I've changed some networking config and I believe the network is working properly again, sorry.
I'm currently satisfied with the site's performance on Tor. Lmk if you have any errors or serious lag - just keep in mind the first request after a long period of unuse may be very slow as Tor establishes a circuit. - 15 May 2023 (1 messages)

Another first! The SSL Certificate Authority in Greece that is 1 of 2 certificate authorities in the world that provides certificates for .onion domains has told me they intend to revoke the https:// certificate for our Onion domain for unspecified violations of some clause. I've thread through it and I have no idea what they're talking about.
I have literally never heard of a CA revoking an SSL certificate before.
In the future, you will have to manually approve a self-signed certificate. I will provide more information soon.

Dear HARICA subscriber,
We are contacting you to inform you that we must revoke both .onion certificates that you issued for kiwifarmsaaf4t2h7gc3dfc5ojhmqruw2nit3uejrpiagrxeuxiyxcyd.onion on May the 9th, 2023.
It has come to our attention that the issued certificates are being used on a website that contradicts clause 3.1 of HARICA Subscriber Agreement (https://repo.harica.gr/documents/SA-ToU_EN.pdf)
We will proceed with the certificate revocation on May the 18th 2023 at 9:00 GMT.
Regards,
Giannis Kostopoulos

HARICA has reversed on the decision to revoke our certificate.
(This is a good thing, for those of you who are in remedial English.)

He mentions 'threatening emails'. It is impossible to determine if these are genuinely from people from the forum or if they are trannies running interference, but it does go without saying that obnoxious messages don't do anything to help. The crybullying from Liz Fong-Jones is effective because it's backed with technology companies and a mass of media reports that also claim we are routinely cybermurdering people.
This announcement does a good examination of how these campaigns work. When Matthew Prince lied and claimed we were 'escalating threats', he penned something close to actionable defamation. However, because it is Matthew Prince, CEO of Fortune 500 company Cloudflare, it is credible in the eyes of almost everyone. This then gets reported on by the news, which ends up in Wikipedia.
Greek man receives emails about cybermurder website, goes to see both Wikipedia (modern day Library of Alexandria and source of all truth) and Cloudflare (very prestigious tech organization everyone can recognize) back this up, and then decides it's open and shut.
There's no way to get dinosaur media to issue corrections, Matthew Prince will never admit he lied because the lie was done to preserve stock value and not admit he's caving into public pressure, and Wikipedia is basically operated by the mentally ill to the point where trying to get it to change anything on our article is guaranteed to get you banned.
It's sort of like 9-11. You don't really need to hit the entire building to get the ball rolling. Just take out something high enough it causes a chain reaction leading to collapse. What I'm saying is, trannies are the 9-11 of the Internet.HARICA announcement on KiwifarmsHARICA announcement on Kiwifarms - Harica news

Reminder that Tor instructions can be found in this post:
https://t.me/kiwifarms/166
I'm just touching base to explain that the site is off clearnet as part of a personal objective to make people more aware of how to access the site by Tor. I could possibly juggle frontends, but I don't have the time and won't for a few weeks. When I can sit down, I am hoping that some possible leads I'm waiting on will be ready to go. If not, I will start working on finding more.
I have a very strong idea of how I will get the site back online. If that effort fails, it becomes a legal battle.Kiwi FarmsWe are back. https://kiwifarmsaaf4t2h7gc3dfc5ojhmqruw2nit3uejrpiagrxeuxiyxcyd.onion/ Ensure it is https://, not http://.
